As we all know that, Tiger is the national animal of our country, but nowadays tiger becomes an endangered animal which means that tigers are going to make an extinct species. The main reason behind decline in tiger’s population is exploitation of forest, hunting (for the trade of Tiger’s body parts e.g., skin, claws and teeth). Forests are the livelihood for Tiger’s if there were no forest so how the tigers can survive because forests are turn into towns, cities and buildings by destroying the natural resources which effect the survival and breeding of tigers.
For saving tigers, government of India launched a programme called ‘Project Tiger’ and this was started in 1973 in Corbett National Park. Project Tiger is a tiger conservation programme which aims to protect the tiger from extinction and attain a good population rate of tigers for ecological, scientific and cultural values. Due to this, government has set up many tiger reserves for their safe survival and breeding which results into increasing population rate of tigers.
Government also makes some rules for animals and forest that there will be banned on hunting tigers and cutting of trees are also a punishable offence.
The result is good by following these rules the tiger populations getting increases.
At last, i want to say that save tigers and save forests.
